EUROCONSTRUCT – the leading European network for construction

Euroconstruct, created in 1974 by 5 national establishments representing the construction sector (BIPE (France), CSTC (Belgium), IFO (Germany), EIB (The Netherlands) and NEDO (United Kingdom)), has today members from 19 Western and Eastern European countries, representing almost the whole European zone.

Euroconstruct’s members, whose counselling services enable them to remain in constant contact with makers of national policy and private companies, are experts on public policies, company strategy and the main trends influencing the construction market.

Euroconstruct provides national-level analysis and forecasts on the construction sector. The actors of this business find this information very useful because they, generally operating at a regional or local level, cannot obtain it by their own means.

Twice a year, Euroconstruct holds international conferences in during which it:

  • forecasts on short-term prospects facing the main segments of the market: residential and non-residential buildings, and infrastructures. These forecasts also contain breakdowns on these segments on new construction, renovation and modernisation; and
  • addresses a theme, chosen because of its mid-term impact on the sector.

The 82nd Euroconstruct conference, took place in Barcelona on 24-25 November, 2016. It was organised by ITeC, Euroconstruct’s member from Spain.

To mark this conference, Euroconstruct published a summary report (216 pages) and a detailed report (472 pages) on the construction market of each member country. These reports forecast on this market for the three coming years (2017-2020) and contain retrospectives for 2012-2015, (2016 being estimated). For each country, the markets are segmented and quantified identically.

The summary report (216 pages), contains analysis and forecasts on three segments: residential and non-residential buildings and infrastructures. Numerous graphs and charts compare recent (2012-2016) and projected (2017-2019) growth on these segments.

The detailed report (472 pages), identifies the growth and market-downturn factors of the construction market within each member country. The report contains charts and graphs with data and forecasts for the period 2012-2019. These charts and graphs are constructed by using 9 demographic and economic indicators, 6 components of GDP, 6 segments of BTP production, cement consumption, 11 residential building indicators, 8 non-residential building indicators, and 7 infrastructure indicators.
